Editorial Policy
Last updated: April 17, 2026
FinnQuiz publishes educational content for finance learners and CFA candidates. Our goal is to make complex ideas easier to understand while staying careful about accuracy, independence, and transparency.
Editorial principles
- Helpful first: every page should teach a clear concept or skill.
- Plain English: define terms before using heavy jargon.
- Accuracy: verify definitions, formulas, and claims where possible.
- Independence: ads do not decide what we publish or what we conclude.
- Transparency: disclose affiliate relationships and update important pages when needed.
How content is created
- We choose topics based on learner questions, exam-prep needs, and finance fundamentals.
- We write in plain English and define technical terms before using them heavily.
- We include examples, checklists, and practice prompts where useful.
- We avoid personalized financial recommendations.
Review and updates
Important pages are reviewed for clarity, factual accuracy, and educational value. We update pages when content is expanded, corrected, or when exam-prep context changes. Pages may include a last updated or last reviewed date.
Fact-checking workflow
- Define the learner question the page must answer.
- Check definitions and formulas against reputable education or regulator sources when available.
- Remove claims that sound like personalized financial advice or guaranteed exam outcomes.
- Review examples for clear assumptions, risks, and limitations.
- Add internal links to related guides so readers can continue learning in context.
Corrections
If you find an error, email support@finnquiz.com with the page URL and a short explanation. We review correction requests and update pages when a change is warranted.
Independence and advertising
Editorial content is separate from advertising. Ads and sponsorships do not control quiz answers, study guidance, or educational conclusions. Sponsored material, if any, will be labeled.
Sources and citations
When a page makes a factual claim (for example, definitions, rules, or a formula), we try to verify against reputable sources such as regulator education pages, official documentation, or trusted education references. We do not claim that all pages are exhaustive, but we aim to be accurate, clear, and useful.
Conflicts of interest
If FinnQuiz includes affiliate links or sponsorships, we disclose them. Compensation does not determine what we teach, how we explain concepts, or which conclusions we reach. If a commercial relationship ever affects content, we label that relationship clearly.
Use of tools and AI assistance
We may use writing and editing tools to improve clarity and structure. Editorial responsibility stays with FinnQuiz. We review pages for accuracy, avoid copying protected materials, and keep examples clear about assumptions and risks.
CFA content policy
CFA prep pages are written as independent study support. We do not reproduce official exam questions, claim official status, or imply endorsement by CFA Institute. When CFA, Chartered Financial Analyst, or related exam terms are used, they are used only to describe the learner topic.
